Honeysuckle Health acts as nib’s agent in relation to nib’s Hospital, MediGap and First Choice networks and GU Health’s Medical Gap network. Under this arrangement, Honeysuckle Health represents nib as its agent to manage all of nib's existing hospital, medical and ancillary agreements as well as negotiate future agreements and funding models.

Agreement Hospitals

Honeysuckle Health’s agreement hospital network currently covers most private hospitals in Australia, ensuring that nib and GU Health members have access to high-quality care no matter where they live. 

Members can easily find agreement hospitals via the 'Find a Provider' search tool on the nib and GU Health website and nib mobile app.

Medical Providers

nib MediGap

nib MediGap is a no-gap scheme that aims to eliminate the out-of-pocket costs nib members pay for inpatient medical and surgical fees. The MediGap benefit is higher than the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) benefit, as outlined in more detail in the MediGap Schedule of Benefits.  

As a registered MediGap provider, you will be listed on nib’s find a provider search tool and you have the right to decide on a case-by-case basis if you wish to participate.

GU Health Medical Gap Network 

The Medical Gap Network aims to minimise GU Health members’ out-of-pocket expenses associated with inpatient medical and surgical fees through a no-gap and “Known-Gap” scheme.  

As a registered GU Health Medical Network provider, you have the right to decide on a case-by-case basis if you wish to participate.

Clinical Partners 

nib’s Clinical Partners Program removes member’s out-of-pocket expenses for total Hip and Knee replacement surgery through partnerships with Medical Specialists. Members have access to a wide range of post-operative recovery options and support and, where clinically appropriate, can recover in the comfort of their own home after their surgery.  

Initially launched in the Hunter Region nib’s Clinical Partners program is now available in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, South Sydney, Bowral, Wollongong, and the Illawarra area for total hip and total knee joint replacement surgery. More locations and specialty groups are coming soon.

Ancillary Providers

nib First Choice Network

The nib First Choice network is a community of trusted health providers designed to help nib and GU Health members access quality health care with peace of mind. 

When you are a part of nib’s First Choice Network:

  • nib will promote the network to nib members. 
  • You will receive branded marketing material for you to display at your clinic. 
  • Members can easily find your practice via the 'Find a Provider' search tool on the nib and GU Health website and nib mobile app. 

The network currently includes dentists, optical dispensers, and physiotherapists. The network also includes general practitioners, radiologists, and pathologists to support eligible international visitors.
